RANDOM QUESTION

What's the concept ?

In the series "I-saw-a-prompt-and-I-had-to-fill-it-no-matter-what" here is a little "genderswap post" featuring Girl!Sam and Girl!Dean (or "Samantha" & "Deana" if you prefer) 

I am busy with my[info]j2_afterclass  and my [info]j2_everafter challenges but when I saw this "genderswap" prompt, I couldn't resist because it was something I've been wanted to try for a long time. 

A fan of Girl!Sam or Girl!Dean ?

Not particularly, I've never read a gender swap fic in my life.  In fact I wanted to try this "Girl!Sam - Girl!Dean" thing because for a fan artist, it's a freaking technical challenge!! Can you imagine ? Turning Jared and Jensen into girls with their big jaws and their very masculine features ? I don't know if I was successful but I sure had a good laugh working on the "girls"' faces 

In addition, I've been dying to try turning the Winchesters into girls since I saw this program on the Japanese TV : they took the faces of famous Japanese male genin (comedy artists) and thanks to Photoshop they turned them into girls. For some of them the result was...huh...interesting! I really wanted to see the result with at least one of the Spn boys so I gave it shot this weekend. 

More genderswap? 

No, I don't think so. I had enough fun 

"Deana" is more "rock n'Roll"...

Don't ask me why but I pictured "her" as the kind of babe who could have been an extra in a Guns n'Roses video (or a SuicideGirl), with her tattoos and her bad girl attitude, certainly because of Dean's personality. 

What does Deana's stomach tattoo mean ?

It's a reference to the engraving on The Colt, "Non Timebo Mala" which means "I will fear no Evil"

TECHNICAL RAMBLING FOR THE PHOTOSHOP GEEKS

Tools of the trade ?

Graphite (at the back of a handout) + color pencils + Photoshop CS

Reference pictures ?

Of course. It's not because I drew  "feminized" versions of the boys that I didn't need reference pictures :

In the Deana pic, there seem to be a lot of textures...

There is. You can see the difference on the pictures below. On the left, you just have a background texture and 4 layers with the colors (1 set to "Soft light", 3 set to "Multiply"). On the right, you have the finished picture with a total of 8 layers for the colors + a layer for the texture + 2 more layers for the highlights.

No link whatsoever with Spn but I drew a self-portrait. And yes, I do have pink hair.

It may be a challenge, genderswapping and all, but you have to admit that it's super fun to do.

Personally, I use genderswap pictures as an excuse to play dress up. I have a fashion kink. I stopped thinking it's weird.

BUT YOUR SAMANTHA CAME OUT REALLY PRETTY AND SCARY ACCURATE. :D

Don't worry about your kinks, mine are worse. I drew a story for the RBB where the Js are talking to flying green peas so so know, a fashion!kink compared to that has nothing strange ^o^

You are right, it was A LOT of fun to do, I was giggling like a 3 year old in front of my computer but thank god, my BF was busy watching football on TV ^^;;

I've always hated genderswap fics: together with threesomes and mpreg is what I always avoid when looking for stuff to read.

HOWEVER...

however, this drawing is hands down SPECTACULAR and I'm mesmerized by how perfect it is, so now I'm craving a good, and I mean GOOD, girl!Sam fic.

I don't like genderswap fics either. I think I've never read one. Don't tell me about Mpreg and stuffs like that it isn't my cup of tea at all but I don't know why I wanted to try to draw Sam like that because it's technically difficult. I was very interesting though ^^

she looks so young! but she's very pretty and very recognizably sam - she has the eyes and the nose and the mole and of course her hair is kind of long and messy. :D

I think that she looks so young because the reference photo I used is pretty old. Jared was young but "feminizing" his features made him look even younger. Yes, I actually tried to keep everything, the mole, the nose, and the floppy hair too ^^

Je suis pas une grande fan des "genderswaps" non plus (*understatement*) mais techniquement, c'est un truc que je voulais essayer ^o^ D'ailleurs je me suis marrée comme une gamine en dessinant ça en me répétant "Rhoo, c'est pas sérieux...."

Oh wow. That had to be extremely hard to do but you pulled it off. Jared has such a chiseled face but you softened him up nicely.

His jaw and his nose were the hardest parts. Honestly, I didn't think that turning a boy into a girl was so difficult :/

But you know who I see as a "female" version of J.A ? Goldie Hawn when she was younger. She has the same long eyelashes, freckles and smile. Her mouth is not as poutty (not sure about the word) as Jensen but I think there is something :D

I am not a fan of genderswaps either (never read a genderswap fic of my life) but technically it was something I wanted to try because turning Jared with his big manly jaw into a girl was definitely a challenge :D (and a lot of fun)

I don't know about the fic ^^ You should drop a message to DS. I don't even know if she's into genderswaps!fics. I think she's working on the Small Small World Time stamps at the moment but she's SO productive that I wouldn't be surprised if she already wrote something like this :D

I love that your fem!Dean has big boobs, I'm sure if Dean were transformed he would approve! My husband says he is much more attractive in this form, which I suppose is reassuring as I might worry if he'd fancied Dean as Dean!
Love all the textures and the colouring you've used for this one, though I think it is less distinctively "Dean" than the Sam one was "Sam", mainly because I think Jensen is much more beautiful than Jared so when feminised he comes out less individual (not sure if that makes any sense to you)!

The model I used (I think she was lingerie model) had big boobs ^^ I don't know why but I pictured Deana like a super feminine chick with...big boobs XD
I understand you husband ^^ My BF found her very hot too but I didn't dare to tell him that it was Jensen Ackles that he had in front of him. He thought she was a model or a SuicideGirl ^o^

What you said make sense (I understood ^^). Jared was easy to "feminize" but Jensen XD His face was very hard to turn into a girl XD

You need to get out of my head because I sooo have a predilection for genderswap. You've managed to make Samantha's features delicate and quite believable. And Deana, well Deana is just plain hot ;)

I am a huge, huge fan of girlchesters, and I have to say I am IN LOVE with your girl!Dean! I love how you've given her such a personality! You've captured her perfectly, plus she is GORGEOUS. And girl!Sam is such a great version of her that looks just like Jared, but with those lovely feminine touches. These are fantastic, thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks a lot ^^ That was my first try at drawing the "girlchesters" (funny name ^^) and I had a lot of fun.

I will try to sum up :
- I reduced the nose to make it look less thick (particularly Jared)
- I reduces the jaws and the chins (or course, I get rid of the beard XD )
- I get rid of a good part of the cheekbones
- I made the eyebrows thiner
- And of course, a new haircut! ^^
